He told me BOTH>>> I have still been trying to figure that one out!!!. I loved the guy. I miss all my old blues cronies. I was lucky enough to sit in with most of them and become friends. When we met up on the road we jammed our brains out and had good times, yes, good times.. RIP friends,
    ADDIE

I used to see Fenton at Wise Fools……..he let me sit in with him several times. Really a nice guy and sweet singer and guitarist. Very underrated and overlooked. He should have been given more recognition. BTW-that’s Bob Stroger on bass.

he’s very good, but it’s hard to beat Boz Scagg’s version because of Duane Allman’s brilliant guitar

It’s the opening song of Blues Brothers (when Jake’s in prison) and since I’ve heard it I’ve been looking for it. Glad I’ve found it, thanks for uploading!

I used a little bit of reverb on this video to reconstruct that “prison” feel while making a Blues Brothers mixtape. :)

Grandpa Fent sure has a lot of his offspring on YouTube here, that’s amazing. What’s amazing to me is how awesome this blues legend is. So pure.

He had a unique guitar, a unique way of playing it, a unique way of singing, and an overall unique sound with gobs of soul. One of the all-time greats. Get his CDs!
