i agree, the industry has changed so much, you have to sell out to make it big tyme! I heard of Janelle monae way before i heard of lady Gaga, and look who has made it big internationally! Janelle is more unique, has better music, and is more dignified and less superficial. And lady gaga is well ……….. typical! and her music sucks. but because she is all about sex, clubs, money and image, she is more famous! its sad! janelle will have to comprimise some of her beliefs to make it!
but i hope she gets better, artisticly (spelling?) spiritually, ,more righteous and more of a musical human right activist. i just really like her, and if this industry is not willing to let her be her, then she is better were she is now, with loads of fans, just doing her own thing.
Well i wouldnt go as far as to say id shoot my self but id be pisssed off if she sold out but i know she wont
