Obama pledges to protect credit card users

The Obama administration is ramping up their campaign to crack down on credit card companies. President Obama opened the possibility of prosecuting officials from the Bush administration who authorized vicious interrogations of terrorism suspects. Obama celebrated Earth Day and announced his alternative energy plan at a former Maytag plant that now makes wind power parts. He also planted a tree in Washington along with the First Lady and some volunteers.

I have enjoyed your informative UPI newscasts for some time now. You are doing a fine job, and it is nice to have an alternative to the AP, though I have no argument with them.

Yeah life is just as simple as that.
1. But what if…the dude you used torture on wasn’t even guilty. Or what if…he is in such extreme pain that he will say whatever you want. Or what if… you could get the exact same info from humane techniques.
2. What if… you couldn’t see that cancer coming. What if… you didn’t see that economic crisis coming. What if… you didn’t see that brain damage your unborn child has.
What if…. all youtube posters had some life experience?

What if you understand that you are responsible for your own action? What if you can get the same life experiences and EDUCATION as I have, to come to realise that one cannot plan for 100% probability?

You just used two very fine arguments for why most(responsible) countries have abandoned such barbaric tactics as torture, death penalties ect.
I think gitmo is the perfect example of what happen if you let criminals(in suit) work without supervision. My god what horrible things that happend there.

Does anyone else know anything to get this country out of this mess? At least President Obama is bringing up the issues. I like his intentions. Give the man a chance. It took eight years for Bush to fuck up this country. It may take another eight to fix it

Think of the millions of youths who should not be entitled to a credit card
facing bankruptcy.
Obama teach every American workers to produce USD150 for every USD50 they are paid. The companies will become profitable. Jobs will be created. Unemployment will go away naturally.
No Bailouts. Clean up the economy and do justice for the tax payers. These are same banks that auctioned off their family homes and refused credit to viable businesses.
