I have a question for you!!
How can I get a mortgage?
I have a secure payment of 1K for life but no down payment! I have not worked in 10 yrs, I owe over 10k to Crown, but I can walk out with over 40K cash and a new car and furniture in days on credit?
    Everything but not a home?
    Any ideas that may help?

If you haven’t worked in 10 years.. how would you prove your ability to service the debt?

The creditor wants to see a down payment, ability to pay, good credit score etc

your not saying anything we don’t know – how about answering this please. I have 2 items on my equafax report 1: small cable bill 2: A slumlord back rent
the first one is a no brainer as for the second. The place was’nt fit to live in let alone rent to someone and 2 months rent is now $2000 for a $400 a month place – no court date was set at least none that i’m aware – not paying it – is waiting 7 years my only option?

this is common knowledge for some and unheard of for others.

These items are all based on contracts that were signed, or laws in place.

Whether a place is fit to live in is subjective… what’s the contract in place.. and is it enforcable?

I trust that these are collections and judgments on your credit report?!!

if there is no lease in place it’s verbal and not sure how binding it is? however a creditor can place you in a collection agency without going to court and you find yourself if the credit bureau without a court appearance and no way to defend yourself.

On another note can some agency help with a settlement like credit councelling – eg. make an offer to the landlord in question, 1 months rent and settle or i wait 3 more years and they get nothing?
