Yes, & unfortanetly, some people capitalize on that sense of belong, feed on it & use it 4 their selfish gains. i hate those kinds of people.

This is what religion can do to your mind if you take it seriously. Ah yes the vunerable mind the imagination , the sense of fear, and the abstract reality of religion . The feeling of joy and brother hood that leaves you tied within in your mind to this kind of religion. Stay clear.

Maybe its just the poor sound quality but his accent sounds really strange in the audio recording from the suicide.

“somebody that says “I’ll be your God?”

    John 14:6
6Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me

Shouldn’t that raise the same “red flags ” as Jim jones saying the same thing?

The beginning of this cult, with Jones gift for gaining followers, his good works and admirable intentions that slowly become more and more deluded and dangerous seems to be disturbingly mirrored in Brian Tamaki and the Destiny Church here in NZ. He’s recently declared himself the “tangible representation of God” and made his followers take an oath of unquestioning obedience as their “king”… When criticized, he points to his “good works” but Jones was capable of good too…

    Okay, Honestly…
Jim Jones is the sickest man out there, but if you think about it, these people didn’t ASK to be killed. They were brainwashed by Jones. Because he is a sick mother fucker that indeed did much damage to the world…

Um no, you need to educate yourself more on Jesus which is nothing like Jim Jones, Jim was a psychopath who murdered innocent people willingly, do your homework.

The Key here is “Peoples Temple” You never heard Jesus. Jesus is what keeps it straight. If any preacher brings glory to himself and not Jesus….RUNNNNN!

When Jesus said his enemies would be “brought before him and slain” I guess that’s different then when Jim Jones ordered the deaths of his enemies. Not really. Also Jesus claims you’ll be tortured FOREVER if you don’t believe in him.
