Consider that none of you have the experience these guys do and have probably never even touched a corvette or any of those cars on the track. You’re not convincing anyone.

Everyone of you who’s complaining ’bout Vette; make a viewable video on when you “made this better run” with your car… I just love this car. Sadly my economy aint allowing me to own one of these lovely things. Noisy? Don’t care, buy yourself an Avensis then. Heavy to drive? “Free gym” everytime you drive. Fuel economy? To get the piece of shit Volvo to move you need full throttle = rubbish fuel economy. Drive less and let off gas will sort that thing out… Just a testrun in this = heaven./B13

Hate to break this to you Corvette fan boys, but Top Gear did test the ZR1 last week: against the Audi R8 V10. They did give it to the Stig, and it set a time of 1:20.4, same as the CCX before it had the rear wing. It didn’t beat every car on the board; in fact it wasn’t even in the top 20. It did beat the Audi (Audi did 1:21:6), and it was the fastest American car ever. Maybe the 720 BHP version will do better.

The BBC should put it on Top Gear’s website soon. But I’m not lying, and the Stig wasn’t going easy. The only car’s he’s ever done that in are the Koenigsegg CCX (because it nearly killed him when he went all out) and the Mercedes SL65 (because it was Clarkson’s, and he asked him to).
